Documents and parts
Everybody works from the same drawing, and it is the right one
A controlled document is a record that knows which revision is current, who approved it, what it superseded, and who is entitled to see it.
What it holds
Drawings, models and specifications
Under revision control, with the current revision unambiguous. Superseded revisions stay readable but cannot be mistaken for the current one.
Procedures and instructions
The same control for the documents that describe how work is done.
Parts
Part numbers, bills of material and where-used, with suppliers and their part numbers alongside.
A checkable history
Every action — view, revise, review, release, supersede — recorded in a log built so that a later change to it would be detected.

Work
Requests and approvals, included
Work is where requests are raised, worked and approved.
- Requests from email. A request can start from an email into a shared mailbox. The message becomes a numbered request and the attachment is filed as a controlled document.
- Nothing dropped. A mail from an unknown sender still becomes a request, flagged for triage.
- Visible progress. Which stage a request is at, who is waiting on whom, and what was asked along the way.
- Approval releases the document. When the approver signs, the drawing is filed into the register as a controlled document, numbered and stamped, with nothing re-typed.
Connections
Works with what you already run
- Your CAD. Design where you design. DocCore controls, publishes and views what comes out of it. Drawings and 3D models open in an ordinary browser with no CAD licence.
- Your ERP. DocCore reads your SAP material master, bills of material and classification through a shipped connector template, with SQL variants and connectors for SAP document management.
- The rest of the suite. The released drawing is what QCore inspects against, what AssetCore's units were built to, and what MarkCore marks up.
Optional
AI, on your own documents
DocCore has an optional AI module, licensed separately. It answers each person only from the documents that person is allowed to open.
Companions
Three companions on the same licence
IDCore, one sign-in across the suite, is included. PortalCore, a portal for your own customers, and MarkCore, drawing markup and measurement, are optional.
Note
Scope
DocCore controls your documents and parts. It does not supply drawings, specifications or procedures. The screens on this page show dummy sample data.
Next
The manual
The DocCore manual covers installation, day-to-day use and administration. Access is granted on request.
