Where it runs
Your records stay under your control
Your drawings are what your company knows how to make. Your inspection records are what you produce in a dispute. Your customers' equipment lists are commercially sensitive. Running on your own hardware keeps those records under your own security policy and your own backups, and your workshop keeps working when the connection does not.
Cloud options are available: on secure cloud infrastructure such as Amazon or Google, or on a virtual machine you provide. One installation serves one company either way, on one database that belongs to you.
Installation
How it is installed
The software is the same in each case. Which one suits you depends on how many people need the data.
- Standalone. Application and database on one dedicated machine. Suited to a single team, a pilot, or a self-contained footprint.
- Shared database. A central database on your own network, so engineering, commercial and operations people work from the same data. Access stays inside your network, under your own security and identity rules.
- Client mode. Additional workstations installed as clients, using the connection details and accounts your administrators issue.
- Cloud. The same software on secure cloud infrastructure, or on a virtual machine you provide.

Where it lives
In the product's own vault
Documents live in the product's own vault on your storage, checked for corruption and backed up as one unit. We hold no copy.
In your own database
Each product provisions and owns its database on your machine.
Recorded
Who did what, when, and to which record, in a log built so that a later change to it would be detected.
Yours
The data is in your database and the documents are in your vault. Both stay where they are if you stop paying us.
Installing
What it involves
- One command per product. The installer provisions the database, installs the service, applies your licence and can restore a starting dataset. Removing it is one command too.
- Nothing to install for staff. Everyone opens a browser, including on phones.
- Each product installs alone. If you own more than one, they find each other on the same machine and exchange records. If you own one, nothing waits for the others.
- Licences checked occasionally.
AI
Optional and licensed
DocCore and QCore each have an optional AI capability, licensed separately. An installation can be provisioned with it disabled. Where it is enabled, it answers each person only from what that person is entitled to read.
