Data-driven drilling intelligence, deployed on your terms.
RAK ENGINEERING delivers software and technical capabilities for the energy and industrial sectors.
Our first product, ABAR Drilling Analytics, turns daily rig data into structured, actionable performance insight - while you retain full control of your infrastructure.
On-premise drilling analytics: automated daily rig reports extraction, drill bits and drilling tools runs reconstruction, drilling logs plotting and analysis, offset wells analysis,
and field-to-office workflows — on hardware you own.

RAK ENGINEERING
RAK ENGINEERING is an industrial and technical solutions company. We build products for sectors where reliability,
and operational clarity matter - from drilling and energy to future technical offerings across adjacent industries.
Our engineering focus today includes on-premise analytics platforms, secure local deployment, and field integration,
with a product roadmap that may extend beyond software as we grow.
Products
A growing portfolio; today, our lead solution is built for drilling operations and performance analytics.
ABAR Drilling Analytics
Extract, structure and analyze daily rig reports & related drilling data - bit runs, equipment usage, drilling logs, offset wells,
field data capture and business intelligence visualizations — all tied to a deployment model you control.
Industrial and technical offerings beyond today’s public lineup are planned for near-term release.

How ABAR is deployed in your environment
ABAR is installed and runs on systems under your control—typically on premises or in customer-managed infrastructure.
You select how the database and clients are arranged, in line with your network and security policy.
Standalone
Run a full installation (application and local database) on a dedicated machine. Suited to single teams, pilots,
or environments that prefer a self-contained footprint.
Shared database (in-house collaboration)
Operate a central database on your company machines and network so approved users — engineering, sales and operations teams —
can access the same structured data and collaborate. Access is confined to your network, under your
security and identity rules.
Client mode
Install ABAR in client mode on additional workstations, using the connection parameters and accounts your
administrators issue. Those clients connect to your deployment - no need to duplicate or re-extract the dataset - staying within
your private, company-controlled environment.
Artificial intelligence options
Policy-controlled install: ABAR can be provisioned with AI-related capabilities enabled or disabled according to your governance and compliance requirements.
Private, local-only AI (coming soon): We are building optional on-premise AI enhancements that keep data inside your organization—
with no content transmitted to the public internet. This will be a custom, made-to-order integration for customers who need it. Ask us for a roadmap discussion.
ABAR: feature tour
The snapshots below follow a logical path—from ingestion and analytics through wells planning, field execution, and business intelligence. Each panel is taken from production-style ABAR UI so you can judge clarity and depth of capability.
ABAR includes additional modules, workflows, and reporting beyond what is shown here. To explore the full scope for your organization—including tailored walkthroughs aligned to your requirements and needs request a live demo.
Ingest daily rig reports (PDF/HTML), normalize inconsistent layouts, and persist structured data for analysis—with optional watch-folder automation.
Bit runs: daily progress & complete records
Work in the daily bit-runs view for day to day run progress, or switch to complete bit runs for fully aggregated records per run. Stack as many quick filters as you need, or use advanced query logic to narrow the dataset. Select any runs to generate a performance plot immediately—with full chart customization—and export the current selection to CSV when you are ready.
Bit performance analytics
Query and compare runs across wells, build exportable performance views, and track products with your commercial rules. From the same extracted and structured data, generate operational charts on demand—for example a combined daily ROP versus depth view—without round-tripping through spreadsheets.
Daily ROP chart (depth vs ROP) built on the fly from extracted data
Drilling logs: plotting & visualization
Build multi-track time or depth views with a flexible layout: add, reorder, and tune parameters as you work. The system automatically analyzes the imported logs to produce formation-based and directional statistics, on-bottom metrics, and drilling-timeline views—tied to your well context.
Wells analysis: target well, offsets & proposals
Start a project and define the target well with the information you have: directional plan, hole sections, casing program, expected formation tops, and proposed bit runs—structured around the products and tools you want to recommend. Pick offset wells from your extracted data to compare performance and justify decisions. A live well schematic updates as you work, and the same project can support export-ready proposal content.

Formation tops & proposed bit runs
Live well schematic (updates with your entries)
3D wellbore & directional visualization
Explore trajectories in three dimensions: formation layers, survey-based paths, and planned vs drilled or offset wellbore lines. Pan, rotate, and zoom the scene to verify how the hole sits against your geological targets—using the same survey and formation context you maintain in the well analysis workflow.
Field engineering (iOS): field jobs, logging & office sync - app can work offline and auto syncs when connected
Create field jobs and structured workflows from the same software: see active assignments, create jobs with well, product, and personnel context, and capture intervals with the same format your office uses. On site, your field engineer can capture drilling parameters, mud, surveys, BHA, and dull workflows; submit run updates, dull photos, and grades. Everything syncs to your on-premise ABAR database for plotting, reconciliation, and analytics in one system.
Field jobs: create assignments (rig, well, bit, depths, people)
Job board: open parameters, BHA, surveys, and dulls
New Row: time, depth & drilling parameters on site
Use self-service chart building on your curated datasets, then open saved charts and dashboards to monitor operations and commercial signals—market share trends, new-bit activity, and other views you define. Stakeholders get consistent reporting while engineering teams keep working from the same structured data behind the scenes.
Build charts: pick datasets and visualizations for management reporting
Operational and sales visualizations (example: new-bit run trends by manufacturer)
Customer portal (in development)
A future secure web portal will be offered for account-level services from RAK Engineering—separate from the ABAR application
that runs on your own machines. Through the portal, authorized customer contacts will be able to:
View subscription, licensing, and entitlements for their organization
Download release-approved installers, updates, and related materials provisioned to their account
Open and track support requests, change requests, and service tickets
Important: this website portal is for commercial and service interactions with RAK. It is not a replacement for your on-premise
ABAR system and does not expose your operational drilling data—your analysis remains on the infrastructure you deploy and manage.
